CELEBRATE WITH A CHILD - 12/03/2017

The spirit of the season was on full display at the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester on Decenmber 1. An annual signature service project, Kiwanis partners with the Club and our sponsored Key Clubs to present a morning of face painting, crafts, songs, gifts, lunch, and a visit with Santa. Several dozen kids were served. Many were from the refugee and immigrant communities. A huge thanks to the Boys and Girls Club and to the Bedford, Memorial, and West Key Clubs for staffing the workstations. More here: http://www.kiwanismanchesternh.org/Page/4225.


WALK WITH A CHILD - TEENS - 12/01/2017

WALK WITH A CHILD,  a signature annual service project, continued last with teens from the Webster House and the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester. The first session,  earlier in the month, was devoted to young kids. The event provides clothes to our "guests." Kiwanians  and our partners are paired with children to help them shop.  About 60 young people are served in total, with the Club spending $100 per "guest.". We were honored that Lt. WALK WITH A CHILD - KIDS - 11/17/2017

WALK WITH A CHILD,  is one of our annual service projects. First of two events providing clothes to kids. Kiwanians  and our partners are paired with children to help them shop. Last night was dedicated to "guests" from the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester. Later in the month we will be hosting teens from the Webster House, a group home in Manchester. About 60 kids will will be served in total, with the Club spending $100 per "guest.". Many thanks to our partners from the Memorial High Key Club, St. Anselm College, and Wal-Mart of Bedford. Backpacks for Manchester's School Kids - 08/07/2017

Members wrote notes of encouragement to be included in the backpacks and supplies that our club purchased for school kids. We were joined in the note preparation by members of the West High Key Club, who sacrificed a bit of their summer vacation to help us out. The backpacks will be assembled by the staff at NeighorWorks Southern New Hampshire and distributed to students served by the agency. The Backpack Committee: (L to R) President Angelica Ladd, Debbie Landwehr, Diane Brewster, and President-Elect Marilyn Charbonneau.

Principal, John Vaccarezza, accepted a $1000 gift card from Manchester Kiwanis President, Angelica Ladd. A special raffle was held at our recent Auction. The winner chose the school to receive the donation.

Kiwanis Donates To Schools...Again! - 05/04/2017

MORE Fun and games! This time the schools were Gossler Park and Northwest Elementary on the west side of Manchester. The initiative began in December with donations to the intercity elementary schools. The games and gear provide fun and learning when the weather prevents outdoor recess. More photos.
